Spain back on quarantine list after Covid-19 outbreak as deaths hit 45,738 in Britain

SPAIN have been pulled from the UK’s ‘air bridges’ list following an outbreak of coronavirus in the country.

The British government revealed on Saturday that tourists in Spain will have to quarantine for two weeks on their return to the UK.

This saw Spain – including the Canary and Balearic Islands – removed from the list of safe countries in a bid to stop the spread of the virus as of midnight last night.

The announcement came on the same day that gyms, swimming pools and leisure centres have opened their doors this morning after being closed for four months due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Meanwhile, the latest coronavirus death toll in the UK stands at 45,738.
